Thank You Form
As a way to thank you to our amazing staff Mr. Chadwick has created a new form our website that will be active now through the Thanksgiving Holiday. Families are encouraged to send a note of appreciation to any WES staff member. This form is located right above our Twitter feed on the main page. We hope this will be an easy way to show our appreciation for all of the hard work our staff does each and every day. Please submit one entry for every staff member that you wish to thank. These will be sent directly to Mr. Chadwick and he will share them with the person.

News from the WES PTA
WES PTA Application for PTA School of Excellence Survey
Dear Parents,
The Weatherstone Elementary School PTA recognizes that our school is a wonderful place that is filled with amazing teachers, great staff members, dedicated volunteers, and incredibly precious children who are working very hard to have a bright future. The Weatherstone PTA has a joint commitment with the school staff to support the success of each of our students, and as a result… we are applying for the National PTA School of Excellence program. The National PTA School of Excellence is a recognition program that supports and celebrates partnerships between PTAs and schools to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.
Please help support the start of this process by completing an online survey by midnight on November 30th. The survey is completely anonymous and is vital for us to gather feedback from families.
The PTA’s motto is “Every Child. One voice.” The path to excellence for all the students of Weatherstone Elementary begins with all of us joining together as one voice. Please take the time to complete the short survey by November 30th.
Thank you in advance for your support!

Thank You Book Fair Volunteers!
A big, heartfelt THANK YOU to all our dedicated book fair volunteers for making the book fair a success. Between assembling flyers, staffing the book fair for all five days, setting up, tearing down and volunteering at the family night we had 136 slots to fill and we were able to do so because of our invaluable volunteers. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules and helping out – there would be no book fair without you!
Grammy-Award Winner Visits Weatherstone
Ask your kindergartner or 1st grader about the "Grab a Book" concert they attended on Thursday, Nov 19th.
They had fun singing along with Barbara Bailey Hutchison about the joy of reading and visiting a library. This cultural arts assembly was sponsored by your PTA funds (have you become a member yet?) and a grant from the United Arts Council, who are committed to bringing arts into Wake County schools.
More great cultural arts events are coming to the other grade levels in 2016.
Book Fair Family Night - Thanks for Attending
Thanks to all families that came to the Book Fair and Family Concert this past Thursday. We appreciate your support, as all proceeds from the Book Fair go back into the Weatherstone library. We hope you enjoyed the free concert and the book fair. Feel free to send feedback to [email protected]
Holiday Shopping? Don’t forget Amazon Smile!
Holiday shopping is around the corner! For those of you that shop online, you can support Weatherstone Elementary while doing your regular shopping. Amazon Smile (by Amazon.com) is identical to Amazon in every way, with the added benefit that it allows you to select a charitable organization (Weatherstone Elementary PTA). This is a way to help raise funds for the school while doing your regular online shopping.
Your Amazon account and password do not change, and you can continue to use your prime membership as you have in the past. The only thing you do differently is navigate to: smile.amazon.com. When asked to select your charity, please point to Weatherstone Elementary.
