This year at WES we have made several upgrades to our technology equipment:
- More than 200 iPads in collaboration with WCPSS
- A laptop cart of 30 mini-laptops
- A new wireless network with upgraded upload and download speeds
- 6 new SMARTBoards purchased this spring
- 10 iPads from WCPSS ESL department for use with students learning English
- Purchase of subscription services such as Readingeggs.com, Tumble Books, and BrainPop
- Allocated $600 for purchase of apps for our iPads
- 6 Apple TVs
As the year continues and we plan for the 2013-14 school year we have already begun thinking about the skills our students have learned this year and where we will take them next:
- iPad training for all students
- Continued Internet Safety training for all students
- Implementation of new subscription services
- Continued professional development for staff on software, apps and technology intergr
