The Running Club:
The Running Club meets Friday mornings before school from 8:15-8:45AM. The club is open to all grades, but Kindergarten and 1st grade parents must stay for practice. Students walk or run around the track and receive Popsicle sticks for each lap they complete. Eight laps around the track equal 1 mile. We award toe-tokens for each mile completed. We hope that each student is able to achieve their milage goal by the end of the school year. Some students already have completed 26 miles - a marathon! Many parent and staff volunteers help out and even walk or run with the students! The Running Club will start in the fall. The club is open to the first 60 participants. |
Art Club:
The Art Club is for third graders and meets every Thursday from 8:45-9:15 in the art room. Students work on individual art projects and will paint scenes on the windows near the art room for a group project.
