Please note that the date and time has been updated due to scheduling conflicts with middle school ceremonies. WES Summer Camp
Each summer Weatherstone sponsors an 8 week summer camp full of fun! The camp is run by some of the same staff that organize the Before and After School Program at the school. Students take daily field trips including bowling, swimming, playing at local parks, museums, and much more. There are weekly themes such as sports, STEM activities and even a local martial arts studio comes to visit. The cost of the camp is only $145 a week and includes every field trip with the exception of the $1 movie days and lunch. Camp runs daily from 7:00am to 6:00pm.
Please visit our website for more information. Reserve your spot soon.
News from the WES PTA
April Volunteer Spotlight – Naomi StadiemNaomi has been volunteering at WES for the past 2 years. Naomi has young child at home, a son, Jacob, in Kindergarten and a daughter, Danielle, in 2nd Grade. Naomi is a room parent, chaperones field trips, and is a mystery reader for her daughter’s 2nd Grade class. She volunteers in the classroom working with small groups, chaperones field trips, volunteers with the class Learning Experiences, and participates in Book and Bite for her son’s Kindergarten class. Naomi is also an active volunteer with the Running Club and volunteered with the Book Fair.
Naomi says, “As a former second grade teacher I've seen first hand the importance of having volunteers in the classroom. There is only so much a teacher can do when they have 20 plus students. Having volunteers makes things like reading groups, field trips, and parties that much easier.”
Thank you, Naomi, for all your hard work and dedication at WES!
